The Sunday Soup

  1. Start with either a broth base or a tomato base. I recommend a low sodium stock or Pomi as the base.
  2. Add as much garlic as you can stand and a good size handful of chopped onions.
  3. Choose your protein and add that. Morningstar Crumbles, 98% fat free organic ground turkey or chicken are great options.
  4. Add your spices. Go with a chile con carne or a curry depending on your mood. Always add turmeric. It is such a healing spice.
  5. Once your protein is cooked, add in your veggies starting with the those that need to cook the longest (carrots, parsnips, celery).
  6. When the first round of veggies are half done, add the rest of what you have laying around (mushrooms, beans, kale).
  7. Taste, season and package into containers to last you throughout the week.
